Meet The Face Behind Focus Family Care

I’m Nicole Marshall, the proud owner of Focus Family Care.

I look forward to sharing my story. I hope that you will enjoy getting to know me better.

I started my career as a caregiver as I loved looking after people. Therefore, I treated individuals with the same care and attention that I would show to my own family. It made patients feel respected and comfortable with me around.

However, I would often come across companies that would send employees to homes without first understanding the clients’ needs, or assessing whether the caregiver would be a good fit. 

It inspired me to work with a human touch, and I decided to launch a senior companionship firm, eight years ago. 

While I made a great start, my service was paid for privately, which meant many people were missing out. So, to make more of an impact I transitioned my firm into a nurse aide registry, which accepted Long-term care insurance and Medicaid. Today, I’m proud to run a fully-fledged home health care agency that will soon process Medicare. 

The home care agency is based on my core values which include working with empathy and doubling down on my patients’ needs. Therefore, I love it when happy patients and their loved ones call to thank me for finding the perfect match. 

In addition, I attribute my success to always putting God first and having strong family support. Without my dad, mom, and two sisters, I would never have been able to grow a business that provides a source of income for over a hundred caregivers.

My industry knowledge helps me spot passionate caregivers that are committed to continuous improvement. I also employ many caregivers with over twenty years of experience, which has enhanced my reputation. For example, I often meet new people who already know my company’s name, which is rewarding.

When I’m not arranging caregivers, my hobbies include boating or enjoying a quiet day at home watching a ton of Netflix. I’m also a strong advocate for mental health awareness. 

I have enjoyed sharing my story about the things that matter to me and how they influence how I do business.
